A whole school evaluation of a Leitrim secondary school has recommended that sixth-year students have greater access to physical education.

The WSC carried out at Carrick-on-Shannon Community School describes the quality of teaching and learning as good at the school, which is under the joint trusteeship of the Marist sisters and the Mayo-Sligo and Leitrim ETB.

This evaluation took place last October and states that at present there are 614 pupils enrolled at the secondary school.
