The Paddle Shack run bespoke 2 hour guided sit-on-top kayaking and stand-up-paddle boarding tours on the majestic River Shannon, on which visitors experience the hustle and bustle of the river at the heart of the market town of Carrick-on-Shannon or the serene backwaters and lagoons away from the Navigation, or both!
All their tours are led by Rory, who has been paddling for over 15 years and he is helped out by his wife Aoife who has been paddling for 8 years! Both Rory and Aoife are experienced and qualified level 2 ICU (Irish Canoe Union) instructors.
All equipment is provided for each tour. No experience is necessary however a basic level of fitness is required. A wetsuit is not necessary but can be provided at no extra cost.
All their tours are private. It is €40 per adult and 25 per child for a 2 hour experience. You only paddle with the people you booked with and you get your very own instructor!
